This is a very unique search for a senior level, business development professional in the laboratory space.

This position is not your typical territoried, commission based, sales position.

This position pays a very lucrative base salary because they want this person to be more of a consultative problem solver with clients and the marketplace and not the pressure of where their next sale is coming from.

There are no quotas or commissions because that goes against their philosophy of growing in the marketplace through loyal, repeat clientele based on providing a truly full service lab that can handle all the client needs on a more personal basis.

Job Description:  The incumbent in this position:


·         Must be self-motivated with a good knowledge of the environmental laboratory business.


·         Grow existing environmental laboratory business, markets and products and develop new business through the performance of the full gamut of sales activities from identification to presentation in both an independent and a team environment when appropriate.  Preparation of sales quotes, proposals and related documents.


·         Must be an independent, strategic thinker, decisive, and know where to get the answer to client service issues from a laboratory industry perspective.


·         Must be familiar with environmental analytical testing services from water, air and soil competencies.


·         Must be familiar with a diversity of markets from environmental consulting, industrial, commercial, government and a variety of other private sector arenas.


·         Work with all management and lab personnel to deliver the full slate of products and services to our clients.



Requirements:  BS/BA degree in Science or Business discipline, Sales experience and Environmental Laboratory knowledge is mandatory.
