Company Description:  Our client is a highly respected, privately held consulting firm that has been doing very significant work both domestically and internationally for many decades.  They are a very well regarded consulting and research firm that consults to a wide range of clientele, including government, non-government, institutions and the private sector.   They do important, relevant work in fields ranging from the classic environmental sciences, economics, natural resources, to cutting edge climate change work and a myriad of other fields.


 Job Description:   Our client is seeking a candidate whose primary responsibilities will be to join a team to help grow their environmental restoration business nationally, with particular interest in the gulf region.  This key impact player will be given the flexibility of location to further drive the business in this arena. This is a new position that is due to growth and will continue to build upon their increasing list of clientele and projects in this field.


The incumbent in this position must be a self-sufficient, self-motivated professional who:


  • Enjoys leadership with an entrepreneurial feel, program and project management on a large scale.
  • Must enjoy the client development arena for maximizing existing relationships and projects all while understanding the playing field for managing and capturing new work.
  • Be able to direct the project over its’ life cycle from beginning to end.
  • Must be familiar with permitting, NEPA, environmental restoration, and other related technical skill sets.
  • Maintain and expand subject matter expertise through various conferences, seminars, publications and trade shows.
  • Be familiar with a wide variety of local, state, and federal agencies, in addition to other government and non-government organizations.  


Requirements:  An advanced degree in engineering or related science is required with a Ph.D. being beneficial. The combination of education and experience will be commensurate with the principal or senior level role.
